I enjoyed this book. It was a fun read even being outside of my normal genres. It didn't end exactly how I thought it would, but pretty close. I liked the flow and dialogue style of this as well as the interaction with the characters. It seemed real. Genuine.
I recommend this book and will probably read it again at a later time.

What a disappointing hero. The setting is like the tv show – The Bachelor. The H is the bachelor. The heroine is one of a number of women vying for his attention.

The H and h hit it off. Then towards the end of the book…about 90% into the story, the H sleeps with another contestant because he is mad at the for h taking his brother’s side. And to boot, the heroine understands.

Her rationale to other contestants..

“Look, I’m not going to pretend that knowing they were together doesn’t bother me, but I’ve had a lot of time to think, and if he’d just up and slept with her, I think I’d be able to get past that okay. But this… this is a whole lot more. A whole lot worse. And I just can’t seem to wrap my head around it.”

“It’s because I’m almost certain he did it to lash out at me for taking Jen’s side…."

Not the actions of a hero I can wrap my head around…nor the responses of a heroine I can relate to...and definitely not a romance...not my kind of hea.

I thought the story moved pretty slow and focused too much on people outside of the H and h. There was also no groveling whatsoever from the hero for his actions. The sleeping with other contestant incident is not brought up by either characters at the end when they get back together. I felt there was no closure for me.
